Our Projects

YAHI's projects aim to empower young people to take action toward a more equitable and sustainable food system. Through initiatives like Zero Hunger Fridays, the Food Waste Challenge, and the Youth Food Security Symposium, we work towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger. Our WhatsApp community provides a platform for sharing knowledge, resources, and experiences related to food security and the SDGs. We also collaborate with other organizations to amplify our impact and create a global movement for food justice and sustainability.

Zero Hunger Fridays

This is a weekly campaign where participants skip one meal every Friday and donate the money they would have spent on that meal to a hunger relief organization of their choice. The campaign raises awareness about hunger and food insecurity while also providing tangible support to organizations working to address these issues.

Food Waste Challenge

This challenge aims to raise awareness about the issue of food waste and encourage individuals and communities to take action to reduce their own food waste. Participants track their food waste for a set period of time and then receive tips and resources to help them reduce waste in the future.

Youth Food Security Symposium

This is an annual symposium that brings together young people from around the world to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices related to food security and sustainability. The symposium includes workshops, keynote speakers, and networking opportunities for participants.

Farmer-to-Youth Exchange Program

Facilitating exchange programs for farmers to share knowledge and best practices in sustainable agriculture.

School Garden Initiative

Partnering with schools to create gardens and teach students about sustainable agriculture and healthy eating habits.
